I'm Julie from Toronto, well, originally from France,
but I never felt I belonged there so I moved away. I
lived in NYC and spend some time in Chicago which
are two great cities, but it's after I moved to Toronto
that I found my real home.

You have to experience it to really feel the vibe, but here is a list of Toronto neighbourhoods
and clubs in these neighbourhoods, where I like to go:
Queen Street West: The Horseshoe Tavern
The Annex: Lee's Palace
Little Italy: Sneaky Dee's
Kensington Market: Xspace
Chinatown: El Mocambo

To be honest I find 2004 way better for new albums, but eh :)
So my 5 top bands from Toronto are:
Uncut
The Two Koreas
The Constantines
Controller-Controller
Death from above 1979
These ones are my favourite because of their music and also because of their live shows, but there
are so many other bands here I don't even have time to check what's happening elsewhere. I totally
dedicate my life to them all.
They are all on Myspace, check them out, you will love them. And go see them; you won't regret!!
Also, come visit me on Myspace so we can talk about music and I can tell you which new bands I just
found out about here in Toronto, because I don't know them all yet...:) And also most of my favourite
bands here are on my page...
And last but not least, special kudos to Delphine!! She is an amazing photographer, and she is very
good at live pictures (amongst others), so through her work you can feel the energy of some of the
bands I mentioned above.
